Hello friends!

SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE:  We are moving the Service of Remembrance to Sunday, October 24.  The service will be at 4:00 pm and will be a service of worship and prayer remembering loved ones who have been lost over the past couple years.  This will be a great mission opportunity for your neighbors who have lost loved ones.

KELLOGG’S:  I brief reminder of our September long mission project of buying Kellogg’s cereal and donating children's books to our friends in Kake, Alaska.  Information is on the glass case inside the double doors.

BETHEL PRESBYTERIAN HAS INVITED US:  To a discipleship weekend with Rod and Janna Handley.  Rod has been chaplain for professional sports teams and is a motivational speaker.  On Friday, October 15 there will be a session for both men and women at 7:00 pm ($10).  Saturday, at 8:30 am will be a session for men only ($15 with lunch included).  Please check with their website or let me know if there are any questions and I'll get with them.  It would be great if a few of us could support this event.

OFFERINGS UPDATE:  Thank YOU!  We raised over $1,200 for Haiti.  Also, Friendship Circle wants to thank you because a little over $870 was raised through the Pizza Sales.  Our Africa offering is ongoing but so far we are over $400.  Thanks to all of you!

Join us as we continue our look at encouragement:

Texts: Acts 11:22-24, 16:38-40, and 20:1-3

  • As you read these texts, what would you conclude about the use of encouragement in the early church?

  • How would you describe "encouragement" as it is used here? In other words, what was the purpose of encouragement?

In His Love,
Pastor Earl
