   Sunday School is taking a summer break.  Rally Day is Sept. 10th with the first day for Sunday School on Sept. 17th.

Friendship Circle

Our women's group that meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11 am in the Fellowship Hall.   Annual activities include Ladies Tea, Rummage Sale, and Chicken Noodle Dinner.  Fundraising supports God's work in our church. Women of all ages are invited to share in our Christian fellowship and service.   The ladies will meet Wednesday, Sept. 6th at 11:00 am for their meeting and potluck. 

 

Choir

Led by Tim Davis.  The choir is taking a break for the summer.  They will start back in September.


Women's Bible Study

The Women's Bible Study group will meet on Monday, Sept. 11th at 7:00 pm at the church.  They will show the movie "The Case for Christ".  All are invited. 

Ministry Teams

 

Congregational Life Ministry - Responsible for the Worship Life of the church, the Christian Education of the church, and other fellowship activities.    The team also oversees the order of the Sunday and special worship services, monthly evening Praise! services, sanctuary décor and banners, Sunday service recordings, and physical arrangements for communion.  Christian Education services that the team oversees are Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Bible Studies and Graduate Sunday.  The team also coordinates church life activities such as picnics, dinners, concerts, tailgate parties and youth group activities.

Outreach - Works with local missions such as Plain City Food Pantry, Christ's Table in Zanesville and Plain City Presbyterian Fellowship.  Ministers to those members unable to attend and works to invite potential families to the church.

Building & Grounds - Implements policies of the Session and works on the care and maintenance of the building itself, inside and out including sewer, water, electrical and HVAC.  They also pay special attention on safety equipment and devices, exit signs, lighting, handicap ramp, ingress and egress and fire alarm functions.

Stewardship - Consists of the church treasurer, assistant treasurer and two members of the congregation.  The team submits an annual budget to session along with explanations of changes from the year before for approval.  The team leader attends monthly session meetings to report on current church finances and seek approval for any budget adjustments that may be needed.

Hospitality - Organizes and hosts special receptions (baptisms, graduations, Pentecost), funeral dinners, potlucks, dessert buffets, etc...  They also make sure there is a host for the weekly coffee hour as well as coordinates with Friendship Circle for kitchen supplies.
